Course Outcomes
Participants will have the skills and knowledge to perform Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation on a person in cardiac arrest.
Duration
3 – 4 hours (3hrs Refresher)
Qualification
- Your qualification will be valid for 1 year. Note: Australian Resuscitation Council recommends that you attend a CPR refresher course every 12 months.
Competencies To Be Achieved During The Training
At the successful completion of this course you will be able to:
- Assess an emergency situation
- Maintain the airway, breathing and circulation of an unconscious casualty (including CPR)
Assessment Procedure
Assessment will be conducted during the course to demonstrate if you have achieved the required knowledge and skills of the procedures necessary to manage an unconscious, non-breathing casualty prior to the arrival of medical aid.
Assessments can be conducted using simulated work conditions if possible.
