To provide trainees with the knowledge and skills required to demonstrate competencies in using a Scissor Lift.
Assessment
To assess practical competencies in Scissor Lift usage.
Requirements
- Entry: Basic English literacy and numeracy.
- Duration: Variable according to group size.
- Group Size: Max trainees per session (Half day) will need to be discussed. One-on-one training available upon request.
General Information
Safelift Consultancy is very flexible with conducting onsite training and assessments for your staff. We believe that this is a more beneficial way to train people because knowledge of your site and equipment helps maintain a more relaxed training environment.
Alternatively, your staff can attend our Perth W.A. Training Facility in Port Kennedy.
Please Note : there will be additional costs for equipment hire, retrieval and return if the course is conducted at our Port Kennedy facility.
Fee:
Half day rate $600.00
Full day rate $1200.00
Plus (if Onsite) :
- Travel to Workplace Site – Within 60km Radius – $20.00 Fuel Levy
- Travel to Workplace Site – Outside 60km Radius – $2.00 per km
Program Content Includes
- Prevention of falls at the workplace.
- Familiarisation of a Scissor Lift, understanding data plates and warning notices.
- Pre-operational checks and post operational checks.
- Start up procedures.
- Safe Scissor Lift operation and to elevate safely.
- Consequences of unsafe operating procedures covering stability characteristics, driving and driving on inclines.
- Parking.
- Practical assessments.
Duration:
Half to one day depending on numbers attending
